Staved Segmented Urn

This urn was done for a person who wanted it to really show the diversity of segmented turning in the form of an Urn. This was my rendering of that request.

Turning an Urn

Turning an Urn

I was asked to turn an urn for a gentleman. This is the result I came up with 10" high and 7.5" across. Made with Ash, Paduak, Cherry and a piece of skidwood.

Winged Burl Bowl

This one was a challenge as this piece was not very balanced and in order to do a little bowl in it I had to offset the piece on the lathe. Turned lots of air, but got the piece to where I really liked it.

Staved Christmas tree Ornament

Staved Construction, with laminate between. This ornament was fun to turn, then someone said that I could not turn the bird, so bird included.
